Lemonclove was born in Boston in 2012, took a nap for 5 years and woke up in 2017 in a new city with a new last name, and a fresh perspective on, well, everything. While a little disoriented, rest assured this old girl is finding herself day by day, and she’s thrilled you decided to stop by her little corner of the web.
Lemonclove comes to life at a petite antique desk with peeling green paint that I found in my mother-in-law’s basement. Here you’ll find recipes mixed with musings about cooking, wine, and sometimes-painful culinary school flashbacks. But the romantic in me likes to think that it’s about more than recipes — or rather, that it’s about why food is so much more than recipes. To me, food is at the heart if so many important things — family, friends, health, love. But above all, food keeps us rooted — to ourselves, to each other, to the past, and to the world. And I think thats just the best.
This time around, Lemonclove is also about newness — a newlywed finding new roots in a new city. After 10 years in Boston, my husband, our 2 cats, and our copious amount of kitchen gadgets moved to Philadelphia. Every day is new, and it’s all on here — life, navigating my 30s, and the day-to-day stuff that makes up what I like to think of as a pretty great adventure. Thanks for coming along for the ride.
